The Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences “Mighty Marching” Jaguars 

The Mighty Marching Jaguars consists of about 70 members.  These hard-working students travel all over the city and out of the state performing for the community and their peers. The group was rated the best High School Marching Band in Detroit, MI, by Fox2 News in 2008, and plans on keeping that legacy going.  DAAS had the pleasure of sending 10 band seniors in 2009 to college with full tuition scholarships.

The Mighty Marching Jaguars had a great season in 2009, but 2010 will be much better.  The Jaguars tentative schedule is as follows:

• Charter School Fine Arts Solo & Ensemble Festival – 2010; Superior Ratings

• DAAS Band-O-Rama – April 2010

• Mt. Vernon Youth Day Parade – May 2010

• DAAS Spring Fling Concert – May 2010

• St Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade – May 2010

• City of Inkster Memorial Day Parade – 2010

• DAAS Battle of The Bands – May 2010

• DAAS Performing Arts Award Ceremony – June 2010

• DAAS High School Graduation - 2010
